Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept insurance?

We accept the following plans: 

​​​

  • Aetna Medicare Advantage

  • Aetna Commercial Plans

  • Maryland Medicaid

  • Medicare Part B

​

We are are out of network with all other insurance plans. 

​

We accept Medicare Advantage Plans (Medicare Part C plans) as long as you have out-of-network benefits. 

​

Adults with other insurance plans, or no insurance may pay privately for services. Payment is due at the time of service. Per your request, we will provide a 'Superbill' you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.

 

It is important that you verify your out-of-network benefits and plan policies with your provider before beginning services.

Do you see patients in their homes?

Yes. We provide in-person, outpatient, therapy services, in your home only at this time. Our in-person service area includes: Chevy Chase, Bethesda, Rockville, Potomac, Gaithersburg, Germantown, Clarksburg, Derwood, Darnestown, Olney, Sandy Spring, and Ashton.

Telehealth services, via your computer, are available to patients living in all other areas of Maryland, and Virginia. Insurance coverage for telehealth services varies, per your individual insurance plan.

What types of payment do you accept?

We accept checks, all major credit cards, HSA, FSA. 

​

 

How long are therapy sessions?

Sessions are 40 minutes. 

McNeill Dysphagia Therapy Sessions are 1 hour.

 

Family and caregiver training are important parts of the therapeutic process and are included in the allotted session time when the patient is present.  Family and caregivers may book additional training or consultation sessions at the private pay rate.

How often do you see patients?

Therapy frequency is based on the patient's need.

Do you work with children?

We work with adults only at this time.

​

How do I get started?

First, schedule a free, 15-minute, phone consultation to determine if we are a good fit to meet your needs. If we are, we will schedule an evaluation, then work with you to create a customized treatment plan.

Do I need a doctor's referral?

The need for a Doctor's referral is based on your insurance plan.  

It is important that you verify your plan's requirements prior to your first visit. 

​

Medicare beneficiaries: 

A Doctor's referral is preferred, but not necessary to begin receiving services, however, you must be currently under the care of a doctor who will sign your treatment plan within 30-days of your evaluation.​

​

Private Pay clients do not need a physician's referral, however if you wish to be reimbursed by your insurance provider it is best to verify what documentation is required prior to beginning services.
